Pilot injured as rescue helicopter crashes in Uttarakhand

A private helicopter carrying relief materials for the rain-affected people in Rudraprayag district on Friday crashed near Gaurikund leaving the pilot injured, police said.

The mishap occurred at a place in the Jungle Chatti area near Gaurikund, Inspector General of Police Ram Singh Meena told PTI .

The pilot was injured in the crash and has been brought to the Jollygrant Hospital in Dehradun for treatment.

The aircraft was also damaged, the IG added.
