: An Ola cab driver has been arrested for allegedly filming a female passenger while driving her to her office in South Delhi’s Chanakyapuri.

The driver was caught when the woman found him focusing the camera towards her while she was busy on her mobile phone.

The police say that a case under sections of voyeurism and using words or gestures to outrage the modesty of a woman had been registered.

The incident happened on July 8, and the woman later posted her ordeal on Ola’s Facebook page.

“There it was, a video of me, all of me. My every gesture, movement, each word uttered was recorded on his phone. Never in my life did I ever feel this violated,” she wrote.

According to the company officials, the driver’s services were terminated as soon as the complaint was received. Apologising to the woman, the company wrote,

“Hi, we believe our safety team had contacted you to update the actions taken. The services of the driver have been terminated to ensure such an experience by any of our customers is avoided.”

replied Ola, after the social media outrage on how could the company representative just say “sorry” for something so terrible.
