Now, Chavan to skip Modi event

A day after Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda decided not to share the dais with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan announced he would skip the ‘bhoomipoojan’ ceremony of the Nagpur Metro to be presided over by Mr. Modi on Thursday.

Both Mr. Hooda and Mr. Chavan have been jeered by crowds at official events attended by the Prime Minister.
