Notification issued for third phase of Bihar polls

The Election Commission today issued the notification for holding elections to 48 Assembly seats in Bihar going to poll in the third phase on October 28.

“We have issued the notification for holding elections to 48 Assembly constituencies in the third phase by order of the Governor Devanand Konwar,” additional chief electoral officer Kumar Anshumali said.

The scrutiny of papers will be done on October 12 while October 14 would be the last date for withdrawal of candidatures for the phase, he said.

Of the 48 constituencies, polling will be held in Valmikinagar, Ramanagar, Raghopur and Patepur segments between 7 am and 3 pm, while voting will take place in the rest of the constituencies between 7 am and 5 pm.
