Notices served after consulting Waghela: AAP sources

Giving a fresh turn to the controversy over show-cause notices issued to rebel leaders, Aam Aadmi Party sources close to its national disciplinary committee chairman, Dinesh Waghela, says the notice has been served after consulting him.

Yogendra Yadav, one of the rebel leaders, wondered on Saturday how the committee had issued notices without keeping its chairman in the loop.

The sources told The Hindu here on Sunday that contrary to what Mr. Yadav had said, Mr. Waghela received a complaint against the rebel leaders by e-mail at 11.30 p.m. last Thursday. It was true that Mr. Yadav had earlier in the day called Mr. Waghela who told him no complaint had been received.

On Friday, Mr. Waghela studied the complaint and held deliberations with two of his colleagues and gave consent to serve the notices the same day.
