There is no change in the Manipur government's stand and Thuingaleng Muivah, general secretary of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah), shall never be permitted to enter the State, Chief Minister Okram Ibobi said on Saturday night.
His assertion, while talking to journalists here, came apparently in the context of a statement by V.S. Atem, an NSCN (IM) “emissary,” that Mr. Muivah would not go back to camp Hebron, administrative head office of the outfit at Dimapur in Nagaland.
“Muivah shall cross the Rubicon and there is no retreat,” Mr. Atem said during a press conference at Viswema near the Mao gate of Manipur, though he did not spell out a time frame. The original plan of Mr. Muivah was to visit his ancestral home at Somdal from May 3 to 10.
