Nine militants killed in J&K

The Army on Saturday killed nine militants in three incidents in Jammu and Kashmir division since Friday morning. It claimed that militancy had been wiped out in Kishtwar district.

A defence spokesperson said the operations were surgically executed without any casualties to troops.

“Five infiltrators were killed today [Sunday] by alert troops in the Keran Sector in the frontier district of Kupwara in North Kashmir. In the ongoing search operations, which started a few days ago, a total of eight militants have been killed till date in this sector.”
