NGT notice on cancer deaths in Noida

The National Green Tribunal (NGT) issued notice to officials and agencies concerned on Friday on the rising number of cancer deaths in the Noida Industrial area.

The Delhi-based Centre for Human Rights approached the tribunal for relief. Gaurav Kumar Bansal, counsel for the non-governmental organisation, said notice was issued to the Uttar Pradesh Pollution Control Board, the Central Pollution Control Board, the Chief Secretary, Delhi, and the District Magistrate, Noida. The case will be heard on December 12.
