A national woman wrestler has allegedly been gang raped twice by her former lover and his relatives, police said on Wednesday.

A case was filed on the basis of a complaint by the 22-year-old woman, who told Meerut SP (Rural) M. S. Baig that the accused had made a video of the incident and threatened to release it on the internet if she disclosed it.Mr. Baig said the woman had approached him on Tuesday with her complaint, and he had directed the police station to file a case.

The Bhaavanpur police station in-charge said the woman had not yet approached them.

Mr. Baig said the woman said that about one and half years ago, the accused brought her to Meerut on the pretext of marrying her. When she pressed him for marriage on February 20, the accused took her to his home, drugged and was gang raped by her lover, his father and brother.
