The BJP on Monday expelled the sacked Uttarakhand Minorities Commission Chairman Sukhdev Singh Namdhari from the primary membership of the party.
Disclosing this here, Uttarakhand BJP president Bishan Singh Chufal said Mr. Namdhari had been expelled following investigations into his alleged role in the murder of Ponty Chadha and his brother Hardeep Singh in a south Delhi farm house on November 17.
“We will take him back if his name is cleared during the investigation,” Mr. Chufal said.
The Delhi police has accused Mr. Namdhari of being the main conspirator in the double murder case. The investigators recovered a pistol from his residence in Bajpur area of Udham Singh Nagar district on Sunday.
Senior BJP leader Ravindra Jugran has welcomed the decision saying that Mr. Namdhari had brought a bad name to the principled party.
