According to the Nagpur Regional Meteorological Center, it was on May 26, 1954 that the city recorded 47. 8 degree Celsius.
Heatwave was not restricted to Nagpur in Vidarbha region. Almost all districts recorded above 46 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Chandrapur district was the hottest at 48.2 degree Celsius.
