Nagpur on Tuesday witnessed its hottest day in six decades, recording 47.8 degree Celsius.

According to the Nagpur Regional Meteorological Center, it was on May 26, 1954 that the city recorded 47. 8 degree Celsius.

Heatwave was not restricted to Nagpur in Vidarbha region. Almost all districts recorded above 46 degree Celsius on Tuesday. Chandrapur district was the hottest at 48.2 degree Celsius.
