Muslim leaders in Rajasthan Congress warn party

Muslims of Rajasthan have demanded representation based on their population in the coming Assembly elections and have warned the Congress it could end up the way it did in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar if it did not heed their demand.

Several Muslim leaders of the Congress from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bharatpur, Bikaner, Kota and Bharatpur divisions — comprising all but three districts of the State — met for a one-day Rajasthan Muslim Convention here on Sunday. These included councillors, pradhans and other elected representatives.
