Cousin brother of SP supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Pooran Singh Yadav, allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself at his residence here, police said here on Monday.
Yadav (30), a former State president of Lohia Vahini of the SP, shot himself in the temple with his licenced pistol, they said.
He was rushed to a private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
A family problem was said to be the motive behind Mr. Yadav taking the step.
Senior police and administration officers have reached the spot and were investigating the matter.
