Trinamool Congress on Wednesday ruled out removing party general secretary Mukul Roy from the post in the wake of CBI asking him to appear before it in connection with the Saradha scam. The TMC accused BJP for using the investigating agency as its political tool against the party.

Mr. Roy met party chief and the Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee soon after arriving in Kolkata on Wednesday. He met her at the State Secretariat,  Nabanna  (New Crop) in Howrah district.

Mr. Roy has been summoned by the CBI for his alleged involvement in the multi-crore Saradha Group scam, earlier this week and was asked to appear by the weekend.
