More backroom players in Koda scam: NDA

November 22, 2009 04:56 pm | Updated 04:57 pm IST - Ranchi

The NDA claimed that there were more backroom players in the multi-crore hawala and illegal investments allegedly made by former chief minister, Madhu Koda and pledged to constitute a special probe panel if the alliance is voted to power in Jharkahnd.

“There are many directors and producers behind the episode. Congress, RJD and JMM had supported Koda for 23 months,” BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu and JD(U) President Sharad Yadav told a joint press conference here.

They said, if the alliance won the elections, it would set up a special probe committee to dig deep into the scam to trace all the characters involved in it.

Appealing to the people to reject Independent candidates to prevent a repeat of 2005 election result, the NDA leaders also promised to combat the Maoists operating in the State.
