Modi to campaign in Manipur to open account

The BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi is coming to Imphal for electioeering on February 8. This was disclosed by Tapir Gao the national general secretary of the party in Imphal.

BJP does not have any MLA for two consecutive terms in the 60 member Assembly. It is however expecting to win at least the unreserved seat in the Lok sabha elections. There are two Lok sabha seats in Manipur.

The BJP general secretary further said that corruption is thriving in Manipur and he charged that Chief Minister Okram Ibobi is running a "corruption university". He further said that if BJP comes to power Mr. Ibobi will be one of the politicians who will be incarcerated for corruption.

During the one day visit here Mr. Modi is scheduled to address a public meeting at the playground at Langjing about 10 km away from Imphal.
