Ecstatic at the mandate given to the BJP by the people of Assam, Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday said the Narendra Modi government “is working through a vision and mission” to make the country developed and prosperous.

“If you evaluate the performance in (the past) two years of the Centre, in every area the Modi government is working through vision and mission on its way to all round development of the country,” Mr. Das said here.

Sharing his views with journalists at his residence, days ahead of the Modi government’s second anniversary, Das referred to Centre’s investments and other initiatives since the BJP came to power.

Praising the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yozana for aiding farmers during exigencies, Mr. Das counted central initiatives like banking service reaching to villages, Startup India, Swachch Bharat Mission, efforts for electrifying villages, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yozana (protect and educate the girl child) and other initiatives.

Saying that the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yozana would fulfil the dream of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Mr. Das said Mr. Modi has asked every district to prepare district irrigation plans and ten districts in Jharkhand have already prepared them. - PTI
