Apparently upset over ticket distribution for October 13 assembly polls, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) general secretary Satish Pradhan today resigned from the post.

“I have resigned from the post, not from the party. I will speak only after October 29,” Mr. Pradhan told reporters here.

Mr. Pradhan was upset with the party, as he did not get the the ticket for the Maharashtra Assembly polls, the party sources said. He was expecting the ticket from Thane region, the sources added.

Earlier, women wing leader of the party Shweta Parulkar, who had also contested last Lok Sabha polls from Dadar seat left the party and joined Shiv Sena.

Brother of slain BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, Prakash and general secretary of party’s Konkan region Sanjay Ghadi had also joined Shiv Sena saying the party leader (Raj Thackeray) has no contact with the party cadres.
