After Timarpur MLA Pankaj Pushkar, AAP’s Matia Mahal MLA Asim Ahmed Khan publicly protested against Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday at Darya Ganj.

Mr. Khan, who was sacked from the Delhi Cabinet in October on alleged charges of graft, claimed that his family is being targeted by the AAP.

The protest comes a week after he alleged he was receiving “death threats” from Mr. Kejriwal and his party-men.

MLA is with BJP now: AAP

The AAP brass has rubbished the allegation and said that Mr. Khan has teamed up with the BJP and the protest was carried out at its behest.

Mr. Khan told the media that he has come to know that his father will be targeted and a ‘fake molestation’ case will be soon registered.

“The AAP is after me as I am raising issues that are exposing the party and the CM,” Mr. Khan said.

The MLA said that some women barged into his father’s cloth shop at Meena Bazar and misbehaved with him. Mr. Khan said that the women had come with the intention to file a false molestation case against his father, but he was saved as they called the police on time. “Target me. Why are you targeting my father? Your fight is with me,” the AAP leader said.

The Matia Mahal MLA, who was the Food and Supply Minister, had also complained to the Jama Masjid Police Station about receiving threat calls.

Meanwhile, AAP spokesperson Deepak Bajpai told the media that Mr Khan is with the BJP and his work now is to tarnish the image of the AAP.

“He was sacked by the Delhi government for corruption. The only job he has left is to team up with the corrupt BJP,” Mr. Bajpai said.
