Moderate Hurriyat Conference on Thursday welcomed the Foreign Secretary level talks between India and Pakistan and expressed hope that Kashmiris will be made part of the future rounds of dialogue for finding a solution to Kashmir issue.

“We welcome the talks between India and Pakistan and are hopeful that Kashmiri leadership will be included in the talks in future for finding an honourable solution to Kashmir issue,” moderate Hurriyat Conference Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said while interacting with German Ambassador to India Thomas Matussek.

Mr. Mirwaiz also welcomed the Ambassador’s announcement that Germany was considering modification of the negative advisory issued to its citizens for travel to Kashmir.

The Hurriyat chairman told Mr. Matussek that the amalgam was keen that Jammu and Kashmir progresses on economic and development fronts.

“However, unless Kashmir issue is resolved, the uncertainty in the entire south Asian region will continue,” he said.
