A small fire broke out on the top floor of a five-storied building at Garstin Place in Kolkata’s central business district.

Four fire tenders were put into service and it took less then an hour for the fire personnel to extinguish the fire, fire brigade sources said, adding that combustible articles were stored in the room of the building where the fire was first noticed.

The building houses some private offices and there was a Kali Puja pandal adjacent to it.

Sources said there was no injury and the cause of the fire was being ascertained.
