Militant hideout busted in Poonch

A hideout was today busted by the security forces and a cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered from it in border district of Poonch in Jammu and Kashmir, police said here.

Acting on a tip off, Special Operation Group (SOG) and Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation in Gani-Kotli forest belt in Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district and busted the hideout, officials said.

A Pika rifle, 243 rounds of Pika gun, a belt of ammunition and some incriminating documents of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit were recovered from it, they said.
