Mild tremors were on Wednesday felt in Jabalpur and its adjoining areas for about six seconds leading to panic among the local residents, a senior official said.
“Mild tremors measuring 2.8 on Richter scale were reported from Jabalpur and surrounding areas for a few seconds at around 10.45 a.m.,” District Collector Shiv Narayan Rupla said.
No loss of life or damage to property was reported so far, he said.
aThere were also reports of people experiencing mild tremors in Panagar, Katangi, Sehora and Majhouli tehsils near Jabalpur.
