President of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti will lead a three-member delegation to attend the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday to discuss the crisis in Kashmir.

Well-placed sources told The Hindu that Ms. Mehbooba had accepted the invitation to attend the crucial meeting, but added that options were being explored for her travel to New Delhi as commercial flights from Srinagar were cancelled for three days in view of the ongoing trouble.

Arrangements are said to have been made to fly her to New Delhi. Senior leaders Muzaffar Hussain Baig and Moulvi Iftikhar Ansari will accompany her.

This is the first time the PDP will be part of official deliberations on the crisis, which has engulfed Kashmir for the last three months.
