A mega health camp will be held at Chhatrapur, the district headquarter town in Ganjam district from Sunday.
Around 50 doctors, 75 para medical personnel and over 100 volunteers would be engaged for the three—day camp, chief district medical officer, Ganjam, Ratnakar Behera said.
Besides diagnostic facilities for the common diseases and treatment, free medicine would also be provided to the patients in the camp, he said.
Out of Rs. 8 lakh budget for the camp, medicines worth Rs. 3.25 lakh would be distributed and Rs. 63,500 earmarked for the cost of the diagnosis. About 40 stalls will be installed for the purpose.
Similarly, another two-day urban health camp would be held at Berhampur from March 21. The budget of the urban health camp is estimated at Rs. 5.50 lakh. Both the camps are being organised by the Orissa State Rural Health Mission.
The health camp at Chhatrapur would focus on rural folks, while urban health camp would stress on the people of the slum areas, the CDMO said.
