A 32-year-old married woman was allegedly raped at gunpoint by her neighbour in Garhmukteshwar here, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred last evening when the victim, a mother of three, had gone to mow grass in the field. The accused came there and raped the woman at gun point.

“After raping her, the accused also threatened her of killing her children if she revealed her ordeal to anyone,” a senior police officer said.

However, woman told her husband about the incident and later filed a complaint against him at Simbhawali police station.

In her FIR, she has further alleged that the accused had raped her one-and-a-half-months ago also.

“Police is investigating the case and the accused would be arrested soon,” the officer said.
