A member of a Maoist squad, operating in West Bengal's Purulia district, surrendered before the police on Sunday.
Rabi Mandi, who admitted that he had been part of the Ayodhya squad for the past one-and-half to two years and was involved in killings as well as an encounter with the security forces in September, would be given the benefits as per the government's rehabilitation policy for left-wing extremists who surrendered, said Purulia Superintendent of Police Sunil Choudhury.
