The bail application of hardcore Maoist leader Sriramulu Srinivasulu is slated to be heard in the Orissa High Court on April 14.

Adjourning the hearing to April 14, Justice C R Dash yesterday called for the case diaries in the case.

The top Maoist, who was acquitted in a dacoity case earlier this month, is lodged in Malkangiri jail for alleged involvement in assaulting policemen.

His release was one of the demands of the Maoists in Malkangiri collector R V Krishna’s abduction case.

The Maoist leader, who was arrested in July 2007 from Bariguda forest in Kalimela area of Malkangiri district, is a former chief of Revolutionary Writers Association.

He had earlier been acquitted in four cases by Malkangiri court, sources said.
