Mangar Bani is now a no contruction zone

June 14, 2016 12:00 am | Updated October 18, 2016 02:10 pm IST - GURGAON:

Meeting the long-standing demand of the environmentalists in the Gurgaon-Faridabad region on Mangar Bani, Haryana Government on Monday issued a notification to delineate the forest area falling in Mangar village as no-construction zone.

The spokesman said that the total area under Mangar Bani was 653.45 acres and the area falling in 500 meters buffer zone around Mangar Bani was 979.13 acres.

Despite the Mangar Bani and its buffer being demarcated several months ago, the final notification for the Mangar Bani zone and buffer zone was delayed that led the environmentalists cast doubts over the intentions of the government.
