Chief ministers of West Bengal and Bihar on Monday greeted people on the occasion of Durga Puja, wishing them a peaceful and happy festival.

“This is the time we engage in celebrations forgetting the barriers of rich and poor, caste and creed and all the miseries and sufferings,” Ms. Mamata Banerjee said in a message.

Extending season’s greetings, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said people should celebrate Dussehra with full vigour in an atmosphere of peace and communal amity.
