Maharashtra Govt swearing-in on Oct 31

The new leader is expected to meet Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao and stake claim to form the govt.

The new BJP government in Maharashtra will be sworn in on October 31, party sources said here on Monday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the ceremony to be held at Wankhede stadium in south Mumbai, sources said.

BJP’s legislature party leader will be elected on Tuesday at a meeting here.

The new leader is expected to meet Governor C. Vidyasagar Rao and stake claim to form the government. There is no clarity yet on when the meeting with Governor would take place.

BJP’s central observer Rajnath Singh will be present at the legislators’ meeting along with party leaders J.P. Nadda, Om Prakash Mathur and Rajiv Pratap Rudy.
