Madrasa teacher held for sex crime in Kashmir

The police have arrested a teacher of a madrasa in the Kashmir Valley for alleged sexual assault of a student.

A police spokesman said the accused, a resident of Baramulla, called the boy to his room after the morning prayers and sexually assaulted him.

The victim lodged a complaint on January 28. A case under Sections 377 and 506 of the Ranbor Penal Code was registered.
