Lokayukta raid unearths assets worth crores in M.P.

Lokayukta Police on Thursday conducted raids at a jail superintendent’s residences in Indore and Bhopal and recovered huge assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

The raids were carried out since Thursday morning in both the cities against Indore Central Jail Superintendent Purshottam Somkunwar.

“So far, details of properties including three houses, a hostel, four shops and seven plots have been recovered from his possession during the raids,” Lokayukta Superintendent of Police, Indore, Virendra Singh told PTI .

Besides, Rs. 5.62 lakh cash, three four-wheelers and a two-wheeler were also recovered from his possession.
