Officials of the Mumbai District Cooperative Bank have been given a clean chit in a case of alleged distribution of loans to relatives.
On Wednesday, Cooperation Minister Subhash Deshmukh informed MLAs in the State Assembly the Vigilance Squad’s inquiry found no financial irregularities in the loans disbursed by the bank headed by Bharatiya Janata Party MLC Pravin Darekar
However, the Minister claimed that technical irregularities had been found in the transactions and two officials have been suspended.
