Life term for all rapists of Swiss tourist

A special court in Datia, Madhya Pradesh, sentenced all six men accused of raping a Swiss woman, to life imprisonment on Saturday.

The 39-year-old woman was camping with a friend in a forest near Sewda road on March 15, when they were assaulted by six men from Jharia village, 8 kilometres from the district headquarters. The couple were cycling from Orchcha, a heritage town in Tikamgarh district, to Agra in Uttar Pradesh.

Special Judge Jitendra Kumar Sharma also fined each convict Rs. 10,000. They are all between the ages 22 to 30.
