Panic gripped a private school in Lucknow after a leopard entered its premises, the police said on Saturday. Some teachers and 60 residential students were present at the school for hearing impaired. The school was closed for regular students due to cold. Forest officials are yet to trace the animal. “It is in the basement of the building. We will tranquilise it,” Utkarsh Shukla, deputy director of Lucknow’s Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, told reporters.
