The city police on Sunday filed an FIR against 16 persons, including the former Maharashtra Chief Minister. Ashok Chavan, Education Minister Rajendra Darda, and Vijay Darda, MP, besides officials, in an alleged land scam.
The case has been registered on the directive of Judicial Magistrate First Class, K.S. Kulkarni, based on a petition by Digambar Pajgade. He alleged that two plots meant for an open space in Darda Nagar Society were illegally occupied by the Jawaharlal Darda Education Society, with the connivance of the Wadgaon gram panchayat officials.
