Lalu: no room for violence in Bihar

Following his party leader’s killing, Paswan demands President’s Rule in the State

February 08, 2016 12:54 am | Updated 12:54 am IST - Patna:

With the Opposition parties hitting out at Bihar coalition government for collapse of rule of law, Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad on Sunday said there was no room for violence in the State and the opposition kept trying to create an illusion of ‘jungle raj’ for their convenience.

Following the daylight murder of a party leader on Friday, the Lok Janshakti Party on Sunday asserted that law and order had completely failed in the State and demanded Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s resignation and imposition of President Rule in Bihar.

“Bihar is the land of ahmisa and there is no room for violence here. But the Opposition kept repeating ‘jungle raj’ prevalent in the State …instead of focusing on the issues of development, the Opposition has been creating unnecessary confusion to divert people’s attention,” said Mr. Prasad.
