Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) on Friday charged the arrest of former Uttar Pradesh Minister Babu Singh Kushwaha, who is now associated with the party, in the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) scam soon after polling in the State got over shows Congress is misusing CBI to serve its ends.
“BJP has right from the beginning maintained that CBI is no longer an intelligence and investigating agency but is working as the Congress Bureau of Investigation. Kushwaha’s arrest shows that the Congress Headquarters decide when, where and how a person will be arrested,” party spokesperson Jagat Prakash Nadda said.
Mr. Kushwaha, who was Family Welfare Minister in Chief Minister Mayawati’s cabinet and is one of the prime accused in the Rs 5,000-crore NRHM scam, was arrested on Saturday by CBI.
After the arrest, BJP demanded there should be a “top-to- bottom” investigation into the NRHM scam.
“CBI has not taken action against the chief conspirators in this case who are moving around freely. An impartial inquiry should be conducted and action should be taken against those involved in the scam,” Mr. Nadda said.
The party also demanded a thorough investigation into the death of five people related to the NRHM scam.
“Congress is taking action against those who do not suit its politics,” Mr. Nadda said, adding all those named in the scam should be investigated. He also questioned the timing of the arrest.

No constitutional institution in India is being unpolluted so the CBI. Nothing is left which is unpolluted by congress. They care nothing but first and only family of congress. The timing of arrest of Kushwaha's shows that the decision is taken by political headquarters.CBI will have to arrest UP (former) CM Mayawati too if they really pursue the case but they will not arrest her because congress lifeline is in her hand.
how the cbi acts by now are very clear-it has become corrupt albeit professionally.not only in UP also in AP.going the wrong way and getting those close as clean and friends easy bail and no jail all others to jail for months
BJPaccusatin against Congress is nothing pot blames the kettle. BJPmisused CBI against Lallu in the fodder scam and they have scuttled the Kargil scam by using the same CBI and the almighty punished the Kargil scam Minister is very well known to all right thinking people and the ex PM also punished by the Almighty for safeguarding the tainted Ex Defence Minister. King will punish the guilty immediately whereas the God will punish the guilty without fear/favour before rest is well known fact
It's very unfortunate that the BJP has come in defense of a corrupt minister. While it is true
that CBI takes selective action, that cannot justify protecting the corrupt. Kushwaha and all
others who were involved irrespective of their part affiliations should be prosecuted. BJP is
exposing its double standard with such statements.
Why is BJP sympathising with the corrupt Khushwa and tarnishing its name ? Because BJP also has likes of BSY in its fold. It is good that CBI has arrested one crook who will spill the beans and name his accomplices. In fight against corruption BJP appears no different fron congress or BSP or Smajwadi.RSS should recall Gadkari who seems to be an ineffective and crooked worker of RSS.
MR. NADDA's allegation aginst CBI/NIC shows that BJP is more corrupt than INc. I do
not think either CBI, INC or BJP are corrupt; it is some individuals who are involved in
this.
Now ANNA has opened some eyes and many people have awakened to this bad habit
and are trying to decrease it. It is impossible to eliminate but during the rules of
most honest PM, Defense Minister and Finance minister, it is a great chance that in
remaining two years, most Indian voter will see some truth and will not elect any
person whom they know is corrupt and untrustworthy.
BJP did a mistake by taking up Kushwah in its fold. Though it is known
for sure that CBI arrests only those who rub the wrong side of the
Italian Family or what suits to 10, Janpath.***But BJP should
disassociate itself from Kushwah who in any case was to be
arrested.***Now BJP should see that even Mayawati gets arrested.
This is what the level of honesty BJP has when it comes to
'brasthachaar'. It is and it has been supporting the political
corruption.
If Mr Nadda has any evidence that the chief perpetrators of the scam are
at large he should make those facts and that evidence known to the
police and the investigating authorities instead of making stale media
statements. Otherwise how is the BJP the "Party with a Difference"?
I agree with BJP. Congress is misusing CBI. He is not the only minister
who has made money. There are hundreds who have money.
BJP should praise the congress for not spoiling the name of BJP by not arresting him before UP election.., (if it has planned when, how, where one should be arrested by CBI..
all partymen belongs to the same team.. just the name is different
