A toll-free number 1800 266 1332 has been launched recently by Konkan Railway to enable passengers to know current status of trains on Konkan Railway route.
A new Mobile App to enable passengers to know the time-table and current status of trains has also been launched by Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) and will be available on Google Play Store. As its constant endeavour to provide value added services to its passengers, Konkan Railway had introduced SMS service on August 15 vide which passengers could send an SMS on mobile No. 9004470700 related to any service on Konkan Railway route.
Staff at Central Control at the Corporate Office of Konkan Railway at Belapur, Navi Mumbai monitors the messages. The number only has data facility and hence no voice calls can be made, said a spokesperson of KRCL on Friday.
The services can be utilised by passengers for any passenger-related issue faced in Konkan Railway jurisdiction from Kolad to Thokur only. Further details are available at: www.konkanrailway.com.
