A tigress in Maharashtra’s Bor sanctuary for which shoot orders were issued by the Forest Department after it killed people and domestic animals died of electrocution early on Saturday.
“The tigress was found electrocuted on the boundary wire installed by a farmer to protect his crop from animals,” Principal Chief Conservator of Forest A.K. Misra said.

The incident came to the notice of the Forest Department officials at 7 a.m. as the tigress, which was being regularly monitored via its radio collar, displayed a fixed location since 3.30 a.m., he said, adding that the carcass was disposed of as per the rules.
