Standing by protesting students of the FTII, filmmakers and artists from Kerala on Thursday demanded an apology from the organisers of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for denying entry to FTII students at the international film festival.

In a joint statement issued here, filmmakers K. R. Mohanan, K. M. Kamal, cinematographer Sunny Joseph, actor Prakash Bare, the Kerala chapter of the Federation of Film Societies of India and over 15 others “strongly condemned the undemocratic and unjust act of the IFFI authorities, and demand an unconditional apology to the film students in the country”.
