Judge issues directive to Sankararaman wife's lawyer

April 19, 2012 03:02 am | Updated July 13, 2016 03:49 pm IST - PUDUCHERRY:

Principal District and Sessions Judge C.S. Murugan on Wednesday directed the lawyer for Sankararaman's wife Padma to inform the court by April 23 whether his client has restricted her petition only for seeking police protection.

When the case came up for hearing, the Judge said since the High Court had already decided on the petition seeking re-examination of witnesses, the trial court cannot decide on the matter again. Hence, the Judge sought to know from Padma's lawyer whether she was willing to restrict her prayer for police protection. The Judge also agreed to defence plea for conducting the argument in the case on Friday.
