Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) general secretary Bidyut Baran Mahto was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata after he complained of gastric problems on Sunday.
Mr. Bidyut Mahto complained of a problem in his intestine and was taken to Tata Main Hospital here, JMM senior national vice-president Sudhir Mahto said.
However, the doctors there referred him to the Kolkata hospital, said Sudhir Mahto, who accompanied Bidyut to Kolkata in a flight this afternoon.
Mr. Mahto, a newly elected MLA, had undergone an operation in the same hospital in Kolkata for the problem four years ago.
