J&K govt mulling cable car, chopper service for Shiv Khori

In a bid to promote tourism in Reasi district, which houses famous Shiv Khori shrine, Jammu and Kashmir government is planning to introduce cable car and helicopter service.

The issue was raised on Thursday in a meeting presided over Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.

The pace of development works taken up enroute Shiv Khori Shrine and Ransoo area were also discussed.

Projects included in the master plan of Ransoo village, where the shrine is located are construction of a helipad, allied infrastructure along with approach road, rope way, bus stand and taxi stand and parking lots.

The meeting was informed that the work on the helipad would be completed by December and services are likely to start from January 2014.
