JCO held with explosive at Jammu Railway station

A Junior Commissioned Officer of army was arrested and explosives and sharp edged weapons were recovered from his possession at Jammu Railway station, police said.

Subedar Kul Bahadur Singh Rana, resident of Nepal, posted with 12 Gorkha Rifles at Jourian in Akhnoor, was nabbed by Railway Police last evening from Jammu Railway station.

The police also recovered three grenades, 12 gelatin sticks, a fuse and three khokris (sharp edged weapons) from him.

The explosives, concealed in his luggage, were detected by a scanner at Jammu Railway station, they said, adding investigations in the case were on.
