IAF Jaguar crashes in Kutch, pilot safe

An Indian Air Force fighter aircraft Jaguar crashed near Bibber village in Gujarat's Kutch district on Friday afternoon. The pilot ejected safely, the IAF said.

"The incident took place around 1 p.m. The pilot is safe. There are no casualties," PC Thakur, Director General of Police, told The Hindu .

The aircraft took off from the Bhuj airbase at 11.40 a.m. Preliminary examination found the crash could be because of a technical fault, however its exact nature is to be determined. The IAF has ordered a Court of Inquiry into the crash.
