A jackal on Saturday strayed onto the runway of the NSC Bose International Airport forcing the pilot of a JetLite flight to Bangalore to abort take-off, airport sources said.

The JetLite flight to Bangalore was taxiing for takeoff around 5.40 p.m. when the pilot noticed the jackal on the runway and aborted take-off and brought the aircraft back, the sources said.

Later, after receiving the green signal from the ATC, the aircraft took off for Bangalore.
