I-T raids on two educational groups

Income Tax officials on Friday raided three different campuses of the Ram Murti Smarak Medical College in Lucknow, Bareilly and Unnao and also the Rohilkhand Medical College run by a separate group. The I-T sleuths are said to have recovered huge amount of unaccounted wealth and incriminating documents, pointing towards alleged large-scale irregularities.

“So far we have recovered Rs.15 crore in cash, over 6 kg of gold including ornaments…we also found six lockers, three belonging to each of the two groups on which raids were conducted. We are going through verification process and once the exercise is completed, we will serve notices to these groups,” said a senior officer.
